Who are Cover Genius? we're a rapid growth Fintech Start-up focussed on disrupting the insurance market globally. We've enjoyed huge success so far through a blend of our exceptional products, energetic team and incredible culture. Cover Genius was nominated in the global Fintech 100 by KPMG in 2017 and was recognised as the fastest growing company in Australia by Smart Company in 2017.
This is an opportunity to become part of the next product that disrupts the World's largest industry. And you get to do it where the model is proven and growth is accelerating!
We’re seeking a data scientist to help us take our BrightWrite product to the next level. BrightWrite is the brain behind all CoverGenius' products, it is the powerhouse behind our experimentations, pricing optimisations and product recommendations.
BrightWrite is used both internally and by our external partners. As a data scientist, you should be comfortable talking about probability distributions, you "probably" have a strong opinion on the Frequentists vs. Bayesian debate. You have a few years of experience working with Machine Learning systems and understand the ins and outs of the algorithm (not just how to use the tools). You can query SQL to find insights from our dataset and form hypotheses.
Given Cover Genius’ global recognition, excellent track record, and hockey stick growth, this role presents significant opportunities for the right candidate. We are looking for self-starters that are passionate about new technology and innovation. People that have a “can do” attitude and who work well within startup environments where needs and roles can change quickly. Needless to say, we are not your average insurance company!
