Exceptional candidates will show an analytical curiosity going beyond the immediate requirements of the venture to find deep insights that others have missed. They will ask questions about outliers, seek to understand the fundamental drivers of advantage and look for clues that may change the basis of competition.   Role Responsibilities: Demonstrate and communicate a passion for building the data foundation, products and capabilities that drive business growth Create data segmentation and modelling  Build innovative data products (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, real-time services, such as personalisation and commerce graphing using Big Data platforms with real-time data ingestion and processing) Execute descriptive analyses, ranging from identifying product opportunities to understanding user behaviour Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with product, engineering, senior stakeholders. You will be involved from the early stages of defining data needs and sourcing data, all-the-way through to productionising predictive models as part of working systems. As a data scientist, you have a solid grounding in scientific work and are able to define and communicate key metrics to stakeholders, as you progress through delivery. Work as part of the engineering team to develop deployable and scalable software. Rapidly plan, design, implement and test solutions to data-science problems. Working alongside fellow engineers, data scientists, product managers, designers and growth marketers, you will impact system architecture, code production, testing, and risk posture. You will conduct architecture design reviews and penetration tests. You will also provide assurance of compliance with global and regional regulations (including GDPR, Australia's Privacy Act, ACMA, PCI-DSS, and others). Collaborating across teams, you will facilitate and enhance training programs, and you will foster awareness about security best practices and risks. Lastly, we hope that you’ll enjoy working with fellow engineering colleges to contribute to common engineering objectives as well as the wider strategic roadmap.   What we look for: For the Senior Security Engineering role, we are looking for strong hands-on technologists with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in the information security field. The ideal candidate is a curious and talented security engineer with strong experience working with both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment. They are a great communicator, have worked on global teams before, and love sharing their knowledge with large audiences. Other key qualifications include having a good understanding of high quality code production and architecture design, and working with a technical delivery team with specific focus on lean and agile principles.
