From humble beginnings, James Hone the Managing Director and Founder of Bluefin Resources set up the business from his study. Bluefin Resources now employs 60 staff across locations in Sydney and Melbourne.

Work with large customer data sets Customer and commercial-centric insights Fast-paced environment A leading Australian Brand is looking for a Customer Insights Analyst with proven experience in providing business insights. Due to exciting growth within their analytics team, this is a brand new role in a full time and permanent position. Reporting to the Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for researching and identifying trends within the market, building strong internal relationships with various business units to create credability around analytics. Key Responsibilities: Data Interrogation, validation, customer insights using SAS/R/SQL Produce analytical work that is Customer focused Discover trends, patterns and stories told by the data, structured and unstructured, and present them to stakeholders Leverage new open data sources and extract further value from existing company data Produce creative data visualizations and intuitive graphics to present complex analytics Key Skills Strong experience of working in a commercial analytics environment. Advanced SAS/SQL/R programming skills Capable of managing multiple projects under pressure and meeting deadlines Tertiary Qualification in a quantitative discipline - mathematics, statistics, operation research, information technology, engineering etc. Ability to interact proactively with internal and external customers An inquisitive mind, passionate about deriving insights from data You will be playing a pivotal role from the get go, as you will be encouraged to come up with your own ideas to drive data strategy and their analytical capabilities.
