Are you ready? In this high profile and business critical role, you will be responsible for identifying new client revenue opportunities in the Cyber Security domain and assisting in driving sales strategy, obtaining the correct support infrastructure to assist the sale as well as delivering the required results. Additionally, you will provide subject matter expertise through delivery of workshops, as a member of pre-sales and consulting engagements, and as leader on solution design and deployment projects. You will be conversant in Cyber solution design methodologies and can generate high quality, detailed designs and deployment plans. Domain Skills Deep presales experience in the design and deployment of Cyber technology and solutions; An understanding across this breadth of technology domains, plus understanding the inter- relationships between major components; & Solid understanding and experience working a structured solution design methodology. Core responsibilities Participate in sales cadence (calls and business development prospect visits), providing product demonstrations in person or online, and working with prospects at both a technical and business level to demonstrate how security solutions can meet their business needs; Participate as a technical resource at trade shows and conferences; Work independently and as a vital member of the global sales team; Work with the sales team to strategise on sales approaches to develop business; & Ensure successful on-site and remote product evaluations and post-sale installations when necessary. Your essentials for success in the role 5+ years of experience working in a Cyber pre-sales capacity related to core domains (Network Security, Endpoint Security, Security Consulting, Incident Response, SIEM, Threat Detection and Managed Security solutions); Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner; Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives; Hands-on technical understanding of incident response, computer forensics, network, endpoint and/or application security; 5 years or equivalent experience in consulting or sales engineering - particularly in the areas of network security, managed security, incident response or system and network administration; or, other relevant experience managing technical customer relationships; A strong track record of creating rapport with B2B customers, from line technicians to C-level executives; & Ability to explain and demonstrate - live and in colour - a complex solution. Preferred (i.e. the super awesome skills & experience to have) Tertiary qualified in relevant Cyber / ICT discipline coupled with solid Cyber industry experience Previous technical enablement or training experience with hands-on experience with Intrusion Detection Systems, Security Information Event Management solutions, packet analysis tools and operating system analysis; Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies, including Linux, Network architecture/implementation/configuration experience; Knowledge of packet flow/TCP/UDP traffic Firewall technologies, proxy technologies, antivirus, spam and spyware solutions (Gateway and SaaS); Malware/security experience, strong Cyber competitive awareness and able to be conversant about global industry best practice and trends; Knowledge in one or more of the following security and compliance/regulatory standards e.g. CIS, ISO 2700x, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, PIPEDA, HK PDPO, EU DPD, BDSG, DISA-STIG, etc.; & Verifiable and current certifications, including CISSP, CISM, C|EH, CISM and/or CISA. #LI-JD1 Optus believes in the strength of a vibrant, diverse and inclusive workforce where backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people help us innovate and create strong connections with our customers.
